Shuckers Collect 5-3 Win Over Sugar Kings
2000 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Havana Sugar Kings.

Biloxi picked up a win at Gran Estadio, bumping off the Havana Sugar Kings, 5-3. Pitcher Al Mattern was a major reason the Shuckers emerged victorious. Antonio Osuna, credited with the save, is now 4 for 4 in save opportunities.

In the top of the tenth inning with one out, Biloxi pinch hitter Chris Getz hit a run-scoring double. It made the score 4-3, Shuckers. For the day, Getz went 1-1 with a double.

"We own our own mistakes," Getz told a reporter after the game. "But we share our victories."

With the win, the Shuckers hiked their record to 56-46.
