Traveling All Stars Clip Comets, 2-1
|
Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars starter Larry Sherry was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Kenosha Comets, 2-1. Brooks Kieschnick came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 2-10. Yes, it was a win for Bingo Long's; but their 31-73 record is still nothing to boast about.
Bingo Long's used the timely hitting of Joe Werrick to capture the win. The third baseman socked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Traveling All Stars ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"We found a way to get it done," Sherry said.
