Hines Hits Two Homers in 8-4 Win for Havana
|
The Havana Sugar Kings reigned over the Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars in damp conditions.
The Havana Sugar Kings topped the Bingo Long's Traveling All Stars, 8-4, with youngster Paul Hines playing a key role. Hines belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Sugar Kings in the win. The win has Havana at 30-79.
Hines contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Havana in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Hines took a fastball from Larry Sherry and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Sugar Kings to leap in front, 2-1.
"I liked the focus, I liked the effort," said Sugar Kings manager Raul Gonzalez.
