Erie Beats Bozeman 6-2, Doyle Ks 16
Carl Doyle of the Erie Blackbirds put on a pitching clinic today at Jerry Uht Park as he struck out 16 Bozeman Bucks in a 6-2 victory. Doyle was simply magnificent as he held the Bucks to 2 hits. He walked 1.

"I felt okay at the beginning," Doyle said, "but eventually my slider really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."

When asked about Doyle's performance, Blackbirds manager Justin Spiegel shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating."
