Getting offensive support from Denis Menke, the Indianapolis ABCs topped the Wandering House of David, 15-10. Menke went 3-6 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the ABCs. Willie Mitchell picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-4. Dick Tidrow was tagged with the loss. Today's win puts Indianapolis at 49-56, while Wandering falls to 55-50.

Menke had a game-changing home run in the top of the 13th. On a 1-0 knuckleball from Eddie Rommel, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the ABCs a 9-7 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Menke.

In postgame remarks, Menke simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
