Cuban Giants Need Extra Frames to Get Past Colt 45s
Houston wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Toad Ramsey, falling to the Miami Cuban Giants, 5-3. Ramsey threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Aroldis Chapman got the save, his 18th in 20 chances. The Cuban Giants go to 42-64 with the win.

Miami used the timely hitting of Alan Ashby to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Cuban Giants on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We take it day by day here," said Ashby, "and today was a good one for us."
