|
Getting an impressive start from Roenis Elias, Miami beat Detroit by the score of 3-2. Elias picked up the win for Miami, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-3. Aroldis Chapman notched his 19th save in 21 chances.
The Cuban Giants got a big at-bat from shortstop Martín Dihigo. For the game, Dihigo was 1-3 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Miami a 2-1 lead.
