Boeckel Belts 5 Hits
No matter what the London Werewolves threw at him today, Tony Boeckel hit it. He easily handled Werewolves pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Jackrabbits to a 28-5 triumph at Kokomo Municipal Stadium.

"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Boeckel's quip, Werewolves skipper Mike Kruger said he "would take him up on that next time."

Tony Boeckel singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Rob Bowen in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th.

Boeckel has collected 50 hits for the Jackrabbits this year, 9 of them home runs. He has also netted 20 RBIs and scored 33 runs while batting .296.
