Santo Slugs House of David to 10-5 Win
|
Behind the bravura of third baseman Ron Santo, the Wandering House of David topped the Homestead Grays by the score of 10-5. Santo slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the House of David. The 4th-place House of David bumped their record to 50-58.
Santo contributed in the top of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Wandering get the win.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Santo told the Wandering Citizen.
