Werewolves Clonk Pythians, 9-4

Led by Pinky Hargrave, the London Werewolves downed the Philadelphia Pythians, 9-4. Hargrave slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Werewolves. Ed Whitson got the win, improving to 4-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The triumph puts London at 26-20 for the season.
Terry Pendleton broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the second with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Werewolves in front, 2-1. For the game, Pendleton was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Pendleton told the London Herald.
