Boeckel Hits Two Dingers, Jackrabbits Win, 5-1
|
Spirited fans greeted the Philadelphia Pythians for their clash with the Kokomo Jackrabbits.
A 4-RBI performance from third baseman Tony Boeckel, who is tied for 9th in the ARN in stolen bases with 7, led the Kokomo Jackrabbits to a win over the Philadelphia Pythians, 5-1. Aaron Fultz earned the save for Kokomo, his 4th.
Boeckel put Kokomo up, 2-1, when he hit a 2-run home run off Pete Richert in the top of the third. His 11th home run of the season helped the Jackrabbits capture the win.
"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Boeckel.
The 4th-place Jackrabbits improved to 24-26.
