Colored Gophers Win Thriller, 4-3
St. Paul beat Penn Yan at Lexington Park, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Harry Bright. He went 5 for 5 with a home run and 4 singles. The winner in relief was J D Durbin. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 3-0. With the win, St. Paul raised its record to 36-18.

The Colored Gophers procured the win, in large part because of right fielder Travis Snider. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Bright.
