Potomacs Come Back Late to Clip Jackrabbits
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of D.C. fans at Swampoodle Grounds.

D.C. picked up a win at Swampoodle Grounds, toppling the Kokomo Jackrabbits, 5-4. Pitcher Mel Stottlemyre Sr was one of the reasons the Potomacs triumphed. D.C. pitcher Chad Reineke got the win, upping his record to 4-0. Rick Waits got the loss.

David Dellucci, who is tied for 6th in the ARN in triples with 2, aided the D.C. cause with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the designated hitter was 1 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.

"It's good to win," Dellucci told the D.C. Daily News. "I like to have fun doing it."

With the win, the Potomacs hiked their record to 34-23.
