The Erie Blackbirds beat the Philadelphia Pythians, 5-1, at Jerry Uht Park. Ryan Ludwick belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The 36-year old left fielder was a menace to Philadelphia all day. Pretzels Getzien earned the win to go to 5-5. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits, with no walks and 8 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. The win gives Erie a season record of 32-25.
