Morse Goes Deep Twice in 8-2 Potomacs Win
The D.C. Potomacs defeated the Philadelphia Pythians, 8-2, at Recreation Park today. Leading the charge for D.C. was left fielder Mike Morse. He was 3-4 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. D.C. pitcher Jose Contreras got the win. He's now 5-3. George Brunet was tagged with the loss. The win gives D.C. a season record of 35-24.

Momentum swung to the Potomacs in the top of the sixth, when Morse, who is tied for 5th in the ARN in RBI with 73, hit a grand slam home run. It propelled the Potomacs into the lead, 8-1.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Potomacs manager John Parzych.
