Dellucci Goes Off, But Blackbirds Win
The D.C. Potomacs got a sterling performance from left fielder David Dellucci, but the Erie Blackbirds still prevailed, 10-5. Dellucci belted 3 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored three times. Pretzels Getzien picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-5. He struck out 6 in 6 innings. With the win, the Blackbirds hiked their record to 33-29.

Buck Crouse, the 26-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Crouse contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the second inning to put Erie up, 2-0.
