Koskie Excels, But Colored Gophers Win
Philadelphia third baseman Corey Koskie had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-6, to St. Paul at Recreation Park. Koskie slugged 3 home runs. Reliever Ezequiel Astacio picked up the win. His record improves to 6-2. Taylor Rogers took the loss. The Colored Gophers sport a record of 45-19.

Lou Marson was one of the major contributors to the win for St. Paul. The light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a single to center in the top of the eighth inning. For the day, he went 1-1.

"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Marson told the St. Paul Gazette.
