Staten Island Yankees starter Kevin Foster turned in a top-notch performance against the D.C. Potomacs at Ballpark at St. George. The result was a win for the Yankees, 5-2. Earning his 8th save for Staten Island was Ed Hawk. Staten Island is now 29-38. D.C. is 38-29.

The Yankees got a big at-bat from left fielder Michael Tucker. For the game, Tucker was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Staten Island a 3-2 lead.

"Good team win," Tucker said. "I love it when a plan comes together."
