Chinooks Win Nail-Biter, 3-2

The Mineola Black Spiders got a sterling performance from pitcher Ron Bryant, but the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks still prevailed, 3-2. Bryant threw 8.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The Chinooks have an impressive 42-25 record.
The Chinooks procured the win, in large part because of catcher Nelson Santovenia. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Brandon Hudson, the Chugiak-Eagle River manager.
