Sea Lions Upend Angels, 7-6
The Los Angeles Angels got a superb performance from first baseman Carlos Delgado, but the San Francisco Sea Lions still won the game, 7-6. Delgado went 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Rod Beck got the save, his 27th in 30 chances. San Francisco now has a record of 71-38 with the win.

In the top of the fourth inning, the Sea Lions grabbed the lead when Bobby Bonds rapped a two-out single. San Francisco was trailing 1-0, when Bonds hit a 2-run single off Gerrit Cole to put his team in front, 2-1.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Sea Lions manager Daniel Makonnen. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
