Potomacs Fall Short, 3-2, at Bozeman
|
In a low-scoring clash between Bozeman and D.C., pitcher Bob Anderson was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 win. Anderson went the distance for Bozeman. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. The victory puts Bozeman at 19-56.
The Bucks got a big at-bat from shortstop Bucky Dent. For the game, Dent went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Bozeman a 2-0 lead.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Bucks manager Jorge Mendez. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
