London right-hander Victor Santos helped his team edge Chugiak-Eagle River by the score of 3-2. Santos kept the opposing lineup in check. Santos went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 6-4. With the win, the Werewolves hiked their record to 40-35.
The Chinooks had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Werewolves going into the top of the seventh inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old first baseman Ike Rockenfield came to the plate. Rockenfield hit a 2-run double on a 0-2 fastball from Chugiak-Eagle River hurler Albie Lopez. It was Rockenfield's 12th double of the year.
"Credit where credit is due," said Santos, "this was a team win."
