Victory Over Jackrabbits Takes Chugiak-Eagle River to 52-28
|
Chugiak-Eagle River picked up a win at Loretta French Park, bumping off the Kokomo Jackrabbits, 4-2. Pitcher Sarge Connally was a major reason the Chinooks emerged victorious. Connally got the win, improving to 8-5. He allowed 3 hits and walked 0 over 7 innings. Connally allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was John Gaddy. He's now 16 for 18 in save chances.
Candy LaChance had a key at-bat for Chugiak-Eagle River. In the bottom of the seventh, with a runner on 3rd, the 34-year-old first baseman hit a 2-run home run.
Connally told a Chugiak-Eagle River Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Chinooks.
