Bozeman got a terrific game from center fielder Tom McCreery. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Chugiak-Eagle River, 4-3. McCreery was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win belongs to Joe Gibbon in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Tex Clevenger took the loss for Bozeman. Picking up the save was John Gaddy. He's now 18 for 20 in save chances.
In the top of the ninth, the Chinooks took a 4-3 lead when Nelson Santovenia hit a 2-run home run.
"I like the roll we're on," said Chugiak-Eagle River manager Brandon Hudson.
The Chinooks, at 55-28, have now won 7 straight.
