Multi-HR Day for Hill as Colored Gophers Overpower Mustangs, 6-2

Spirited fans greeted the Penn Yan Mustangs for their clash with the St. Paul Colored Gophers.
The St. Paul Colored Gophers topped the Penn Yan Mustangs by the score of 6-2, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Glenallen Hill. Hill hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Colored Gophers. Picking up the win was Russ Meyer. He went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 1.
It could have been a different outcome for St. Paul, had it not been for Frank Truesdale, the 27-year old second baseman . Truesdale contributed a solo home run in the top of the fifth inning to put St. Paul up, 3-1.
Truesdale attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
St. Paul is sailing along at 61-25.
