Colored Gophers Come Back Late to Top Mustangs, 5-4
St. Paul catcher Charlie Ganzel helped his team beat the Penn Yan Mustangs, 5-4. Ganzel went 2 for 3 for the Colored Gophers. Carlos Silva got the win, improving to 8-7. He pitched 7.1 innings, giving up 10 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. J D Durbin earned his 16th save in 16 chances.

Ganzel had an important at-bat with the bases empty in the top of the eighth, when he hit a solo home run. The Colored Gophers went on to win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said St. Paul manager Nick Frias.

The Colored Gophers sport a record of 62-25.
