Los Angeles Nets 10-9 Win Versus Sea Lions
The San Francisco Sea Lions got a superb performance from first baseman Jack Clark, but the Los Angeles Angels still won the game, 10-9. Clark went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Los Angeles reliever Joe Nathan got the win, raising his record to 5-4. Rod Beck was tagged with the loss. Los Angeles bumps their record to 51-60 with the win.

Los Angeles got a knockout punch from Eddie Joost. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Joost.
