Moose Jaw second baseman Frank LaPorte was sensational. He was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Penn Yan beat the Robin Hoods, 7-4. Jesse Tannehill got the win, improving to 7-9. He held the Robin Hoods to 4 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Picking up the save was Walt Tauscher. He's now 9 for 11 in save chances.

Jim Greengrass had a big 2-run home run for the Mustangs in the bottom of the third inning. With Penn Yan leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Steve Stone and swatted a home run to right. It was his 51st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Mustangs ahead, 3-0.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Greengrass, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
