Ray Collins had a strong outing for the Philadelphia Stars against the Homestead Grays at Shibe Park AL. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Collins went the distance for Philadelphia. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. With the victory, the Stars upped their record to 55-55.

Sherry Magee had a big run-scoring triple for the Stars in the bottom of the sixth inning.
