LaChance Goes Off, But Mustangs Win
The Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks and Penn Yan Mustangs delighted fans at Mustang Field.

Despite a fine performance by first baseman Candy LaChance, the Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks lost to the Penn Yan Mustangs, 16-5. LaChance belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Mark Prior. He's now 5-10. He went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits for the Mustangs.

Penn Yan second baseman Danny O'Connell gave his club a productive at-bat in the bottom of the second inning. With runners on 1st and 3rd and the Mustangs trailing 2-0, O'Connell hit a 2-run double.
