Potomacs Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
D.C. Potomacs right-hander Kevin Gross pitched a good game against the Erie Blackbirds at Jerry Uht Park, leading his team to victory, 6-4. D.C. reliever Bob W Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Jose RA Santiago was saddled with the loss. The second-place Blackbirds have lost 4 consecutive games.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the 12th. That's when Potomacs left fielder Mike Morse hit a changeup from Jose RA Santiago for a solo home run, putting D.C. up, 5-4.

"We'd like to put some distance between ourselves and the rest of the division," said Gross.
