Philadelphia Pythians starter Pete Richert pitched effectively against the Bozeman Bucks at Recreation Park. The left-hander spearheaded his team's 6-4 win. Jim Roland earned the save, his 15th in 16 tries. Philadelphia is now 49-51.

The Pythians got an important contribution from third baseman Corey Koskie, who in the bottom of the fifth punched a 1-1 forkball into right-center for a 2-run home run. It was his 39th home run of the season and put the Pythians ahead, 4-2.

"We had a good game plan," Richert said, "and we were able to execute it."
