Chinooks Bang Out 7-1 Win Versus Mineola
|
Mineola had no answer for Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks hurler Frank Miller, who overwhelmed Black Spiders hitters as the Chinooks coasted to victory, 7-1. The win puts Chugiak-Eagle River at 64-38 this season.
Dave Philley had a big hit for Chugiak-Eagle River in the top of the fourth inning. With Chugiak-Eagle River leading 2-0, Philley hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Chinooks up, 4-0.
In postgame comments to the Chugiak-Eagle River Observer, Miller said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
