Spirited fans greeted the Philadelphia Pythians for their clash with the Moose Jaw Robin Hoods.
The Moose Jaw Robin Hoods picked up a win at Recreation Park, knocking off the Philadelphia Pythians, 5-3. Starting pitcher Steve Stone was a big reason why. Brad Ziegler was credited with the save, his 22nd in 26 tries.
The Robin Hoods got an important contribution from right fielder Matt Lawton, who in the top of the first punched a 2-2 fastball into left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Robin Hoods ahead, 2-0.
Lawton called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
The win for the Robin Hoods raised their record to 52-52.
