Torres Pops Two Homers in 8-6 Win for Erie
The Erie Blackbirds topped the Moose Jaw Robin Hoods, 8-6, with youngster Rusty Torres playing a key role. Torres went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Blackbirds in the win. Erie reliever Eric Plunk was credited with the win, to go to 4-4. Brandon Duckworth took the loss for Moose Jaw. Erie is now riding a 4-game win streak.

Torres contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Erie in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 3-2, Torres took a fastball from Brandon Duckworth and stroked the home run to right. His 26th home run of the season allowed the Blackbirds to leap in front, 5-3.

"The hot tub feels extra good after a solid win," said Torres.
