Sea Lions Win with Late Rally
San Francisco and Baltimore duked it out and the Sea Lions came out victorious.

The San Francisco Sea Lions defeated the Baltimore Black Sox, 8-7. Catcher Mickey Cochrane deserved a large share of the credit. Cochrane was 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Sea Lions. The Sea Lions, at 73-40, have a comfortable 19½-game lead in their division.

San Francisco used the hitting of Reggie Jackson to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Sea Lions on top, 8-7. For the game, Jackson had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"When I'm in the lineup, I always feel like we're going to win the game," said Cochrane.
