Arencibia Stars in 8-5 Loss to Homestead
The Homestead Grays had to overcome a big game from Birmingham catcher J P Arencibia to leave Rickwood Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 8-5. Arencibia slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Josh Lindblom notched his 28th save in 32 chances. The win puts Homestead at 61-57 this season.

Roberto Clemente had a big 2-run home run for the Grays in the top of the first inning. With Homestead leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 26-year old right-handed pitcher Alejandro Peña and punished it. The result was his 20th home run of the season, which put the Grays on top, 3-0.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Clemente.
