Gamble Goes Deep Twice in 11-5 Wolverines Win
The Detroit Wolverines defeated the Miami Cuban Giants, 11-5. Doing his part was designated hitter Oscar Gamble, who hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Detroit is now 58-61, while Miami is 58-62.

With Detroit leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Gamble hit a slider from Jim Whitney for a 2-run home run. It was his 23rd home run of the season and put the Wolverines ahead, 3-0.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Gamble.
