Sea Lions Come Back Late to Top Spiders, 6-4
The San Francisco Sea Lions took Cleveland pitcher Bill Steen's best shot and still were able to claim a win at League Park. The final score had San Francisco getting past the Spiders, 6-4. Steen went 7 innings and allowed 1 run, striking out 5. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 78-42.

Jimmie Foxx came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco. The third baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said San Francisco manager Daniel Makonnen.
