The Royal Giants grabbed a win, 4-3, at Ebbets Field, overcoming a fine effort from Houston pitcher Toad Ramsey. Ramsey went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Brooklyn leads the National League Effa Manley Division by 11½ games.

The Royal Giants got a big at-bat from first baseman Dan Brouthers. For the game, Brouthers was 1 for 3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 15th home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 4-3 lead.
