Baltimore designated hitter Gavvy Cravath helped his team beat the Cleveland Spiders, 8-7. Cravath, who is tied for 7th in the AL in extra base hits with 74, went 3 for 4 for the Black Sox. Baltimore starter Jim Palmer was credited with the win after throwing 97 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 5-7. Sean Marshall was credited with the save.
