The Ottawa Mounties locked up a win at Crosley Field, knocking off the Indianapolis ABCs, 5-3. On the mound for Ottawa was right-hander Johnny Podgajny. He played a major role in the triumph. Ottawa now sports a record of 61-65.

Adrián Beltré drove in one run for Ottawa. The 26-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Johnny Cueto. It was his 69th RBI of the season.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Podgajny.
