Jackson Homers Twice in 11-6 Win
The Chicago American Giants topped the San Francisco Sea Lions, 11-6, with left fielder Joe Jackson playing a big role. Jackson hit 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the American Giants in the win. Fernando Rodney earned his 1st save in 2 chances. The American Giants now have a record of 57-71 with the win over San Francisco.

With Chicago trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Jackson hit a sinker from Tim Hudson for a 2-run home run. It was his 15th home run of the season and put the American Giants ahead, 2-1.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Jackson told the Chicago Times.
