New York took on Ottawa in front of a lively crowd.

Led by Benny Kauff, the New York Gothams defeated the Ottawa Mounties, 8-2. Kauff was 3-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Gothams. The Gothams raised their record to 62-68.

With New York leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Kauff hit a sinker from Al Orth for a 2-run home run. It was his 33rd home run of the season and put the Gothams ahead, 4-1.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Kauff told the New York Today.
