Dominant Performance by Righetti in New York Win
|
The New York Black Yankees picked up a win at League Park, taking down the Cleveland Spiders, 5-4. Starting pitcher Dave Righetti was a big reason why. Goose Gossage got the save, his 16th in 19 chances. The victory gives the Black Yankees a record of 73-60.
Righetti allowed no runs over 7 innings. He also racked up 8 strikeouts.
"Very pleased with the effort on our side," said Righetti.
