The Indianapolis ABCs topped the Homestead Grays, 3-2, in National League action at Crosley Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Indianapolis designated hitter Luis Padrón. Rob Dibble notched his 19th save in 22 chances. Indianapolis is 65-68 and Homestead, with the loss, 67-66.

The ABCs got a big at-bat from center fielder Oscar Charleston. For the game, Charleston was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 25th double of the season gave Indianapolis a 2-1 lead.

Indianapolis manager Daniel Makonnen called it "a good, solid win."
