Hrbek Hits 2 home runs in Sea Dogs Win
Sea Dogs first baseman Kent Hrbek left his mark on his team's 8-6 win over the Detroit Wolverines. Hrbek, who is on pace for 104 RBI this season, hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Portland in the contest. Portland reliever Jim Golden was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Buddy Napier took the loss. John Wetteland notched his 2nd save in 3 chances.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Sea Dogs grabbed the lead when Hrbek hit his 30th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Buddy Napier made it 8-5, Portland.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Hrbek told the Portland Herald.

The Sea Dogs are now 61-73.
