Goldschmidt Slugs Colt 45s to 12-7 Win
The Houston Colt 45s beat the Indianapolis ABCs, 12-7, at Crosley Field. The Colt 45s got a fine performance from first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, who slugged 3 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring three times. The winning pitcher was Roger Clemens. His record now stands at 15-9. The right-hander went 5.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits for the Colt 45s. With the victory, the Colt 45s upped their record to 70-66.

Carlos Correa went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk for Houston. The 22-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Johnny Cueto. It was his 69th RBI of the season.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Houston manager Daniel Makonnen.
