Sea Lions Win at Home, 4-2
|
San Francisco Sea Lions starter Tommy Bridges hurled his team past the Cleveland Spiders, 4-2. In 6.2 innings, Bridges surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. With the win, San Francisco pushed its record to 87-50.
The Sea Lions got a big at-bat from right fielder Reggie Jackson. For the game, Jackson was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 38th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 4-2 lead.
"A confident pitcher is a dangerous thing," said San Francisco manager Daniel Makonnen. "That's what Tommy is right now."
