Ottawa got a decent performance from pitcher Charles Radbourn, but it wasn't enough to beat the Philadelphia Stars. Philadelphia won the Shibe Park AL contest, 6-5. Radbourn threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. Philadelphia has now won 4 straight.

The decisive blow was delivered by Aaron Judge in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Cox to win the game for Philadelphia. The home crowd went nuts.

"This game was intense," Judge said, postgame.
